Believed to be the only one ever produced and most likely made by Grenfell, who manufactured all the Bluebird Team overalls, as an advanced sample, in preparation for Campbell's intended presence at the London Boat Show later in 1967, following his world water speed record attempt on Conniston Water. The canvas material is date stamped and would have been available when made, for Campbell's approval while he was up in the Lakes from November 1966. The "Campbell Crew" metaphor dates back to Sir Malcolm's record breaking days when his mechanics wore orange armbands labelled as "Campbell Crew".
